Tools for the Work
Here you’ll find practical resources to support your work. We’re always learning, so this page will grow over time with new contributions. Take what’s helpful, share what you’ve got, and help us build a resource library rooted in community knowledge.

Our 5-year Story
In June 2020, four Black women set out to do something that had never been sustainably done in Washington state. We offer you this story of our five-year journey.

Statewide Listening Tour Report
In 2023 and 2024, we conducted a listening tour to gather with our extended family — listening to and learning from Black folks who are actively dismantling systems and serving communities in ways that center Blackness and Black people. We offer this summary of what we heard as a tool and a guide to support ongoing conversation and action to further Black liberation and prosperity.

Black Well-being Report
This report is a love note to Black Washingtonians, written for us and by us, to accelerate change. We hope you discuss the data with others to support community organizing, direct resources, and inform policy and systems change.
